2023 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and more than 400 years of people-to-people contacts between Vietnam and the Netherlands. The visual identity — a combination of the Vietnamese lotus flower and the Dutch tulip supported by the acronyms NL (Netherlands) and VN (Vietnam) symbolize the close ties between Vietnam and the Netherlands, reference the 50 years of bilateral relations, and pay tribute to the Vietnamese and Dutch culture. In cooperation with the Netherlands Embassy in Hanoi and the Consulate-General in Ho Chi Minh City (Kingdom of the Netherlands in Vietnam).
The identity is launched together with Liesje Schreinemacher, Netherlands Minister for Foreign Trade & Development Cooperation at the Independence Palace in Ho Chi Minh City as part of the trade mission end of November 2022.
