In order to maintain the former Clandestine Church (est. 1785) in Beemster — currently a national monument, Beemster Vertoeving is founded with the aim to keep social values through cultural events and to raise a small residential community.
The identity is based on the universal symbol of Mennonites and the five core values of Beemster Vertoeving: ‘Vrijheid’ (freedom), ‘Verdraagzaamheid’ (tolerance), ‘Verantwoordelijkheid’ (responsibility), ‘Vriendschap’ (friendship) and ‘Vertrouwen’ (trust). These five capital V’s literally pointing to a center, which stands for meeting and connecting.
