In order to maintain the former Clandestine Church (est. 1785) in Beemster — currently a national monument, Beemster Vertoeving is founded with the aim to keep social values through cultural events and to raise a small residential community.
The identity is based on the universal symbol of Mennonites and the five core values of Beemster Vertoeving: Vrijheid (freedom), Verdraagzaamheid (tolerance), Verantwoordelijkheid (responsibility), Vriendschap (friendship) and Vertrouwen (trust). These five capital V’s literally pointing to a center, which stands for meeting and connecting.
